In this Action Area, both Grant Results aligned with the Capital Stream relate to increasing social connections and bringing diverse groups together to improve community life

All Capital projects must align with an Action Area, a Priority Outcome and THIS to be eligible for OTF funding

The Assessment Area used to assess the type, level and urgency of community need and the way the project will impact the community
What is Strategy?
“Conservation and restoration efforts are better planned and more sustainable” is the only Grant Result eligible for Capital Stream under this Action Area

What is $5,000?
In the Process assessment consideration area, the applicant must provide a clear timeline and describe the links between the project activities, the project objective and THIS
What is the Grant Result?
Only initiatives that allow people to meet their basic needs (food, shelter, water and sanitation, clothing/personal items, health and wellness) are eligible for Capital funding in this Action Area
What is Prosperous People?
For this type of capital request, you don’t need proof of ownership or a five-year lease
What is Non-Fixed Equipment?
AND/OR
What is the purchase of land and/or buildings?
The Area on the OTF website where applicants can find resources and discussion boards
What is the Knowledge Centre?
Doing renovations, installations and repairs, building structures or spaces, making better use of technological resources and buying and installing THIS are all activities that can be funded in the Capital Stream
What is Equipment?
Detailed renovation plans and a clear description of the work to be undertaken would result in a high score in this Assessment Area
What is Infrastructure and Equipment?
In the Promising Young People Action Area, of the two Priority Outcomes eligible for the Capital Stream, “More youth are meaningfully engaged in the community” is open to all youth but “More children and youth have emotional and social strength” must specifically serve this type of youth
What is youth facing barriers? (·Aboriginal · LGBTTQ+ · Newcomer · Racialized · At-risk of dropping out, in conflict with the law, in and leaving care · Living in low income situations, · Living with disabilities or special needs)
It’s not where the facility is located that decides which catchment should fund a project but rather this important consideration
