Who is James?
The most memorable meal this person ever had at La Tagliata on the Amalfi Coast in Italy, is the last meal they would want to have. The scene is stunning, overlooking the Mediterranean with views of Positano. The restaurant is family-run, they grow most of their own organic produce, and dinner is served family-style. They would want to be surrounded by family, listening to Frank Sinatra or Amble, eating at sunset in late September, drinking red wine (whatever is most local), reminiscing all of the good times, feeling a great sense of gratitude for those they love and the life they lived.

Who is Krista?
100p would run back my wedding.
Mid-afternoon, mid-march,
oysters topped with caviar,
tuna crudo topped with caviar,
pierogi topped with caviar,
soaked in champagne and cytrynówka shots,
copious ‘Na zdrowie!’ toasts,
in a sun-drenched 18th century carriage house,
table overflowing with flowers and candles,
overlooking an English garden through floor to ceiling French doors,
with a 1970s cream-colored drop top Rolls Royce loaded down with even more champagne waiting to take us to the airport,
or this is case, my death.

When this person gets on a plane, they opted for no internet access. Their brain finally down shifts out of distracted, tactical firefighting mode and into strategic reflection mode. That’s when they have the BIG realizations, the thoughts that truly moves the needle instead of just doing more of what’s urgent.
“How’s that working for you?” is their go-to question when searching for seismic shifts. Whenever they're frustrated about what “should” be happening, that question forces a step back and an admission that it’s time to change the approach.

Who is Jalesa?
For the past 8 years, this person uses the 13th of each month (aligned ti their birth date) to schedule any appointments and take care of personal tasks they've been putting off. For example, if they need to update the cadence of the supplements they receive, it gets done on the 13th. They need to make a dentist's appointment, it gets scheduled on the 13th. By taking a bunch of disparate tasks that they normally will put off and placing them all on one memorable day of the month, they can keep a log of what needs doing and then plow through the list in an hour or so. It takes the thinking about when to get the task done out of the equation for things that are not urgent but still important.

This person has training and experience in managing protests and negotiating between police and demonstrators! A previous employer placed a high value on rigorous inquiry which meant facilitating spaces for discourse, debate, and disagreement. They would even go to County Jail on behalf of the employer to help associates understand their rights, connect them with legal services, and send pizzas to the police waiting room where concerned family and friends were awaiting the release of those who were being booked for their protest behaviors. WILD times.
