Disturbing story about a heroic lion that sacrifices himself so that, unknown to friend and foe, he can later return from the dead to win the day. Upsetting for kids.

My graduate degrees in English must be worthless. I just didnt see a point to it at all. Boy gets kicked out of school, thinks about things, meets up with a prostitute, thinks about things some more, winds up inexplicably optimistic. Weird.

A friend of mine commented that Im not angst-y enough to appreciate this book. Probably true.
