The restaurant was taking a long time with my food, instead of getting mad, I decided to wait.

Patience

Two of your friends, Joshua and Caleb, start arguing about whose turn it is to play basketball.
Their voices get louder, and other kids start watching.
You can tell they’re both upset.

You step in and say kindly,
“Hey guys, we can work this out. How about Joshua goes first, and then Caleb goes next? That way, everyone gets to play.”

They both calm down, agree to take turns, and the game continues with smiles instead of anger.

It’s Saturday, and you were really excited to go to the park with your family.
But when you wake up, it’s raining hard! ☔
Your little sister is cranky and says, “We’re gonna have a boring day!”

Instead of being upset, you smile and say,

“That’s okay! We can still have fun inside. Let’s build a fort, play games, and make hot chocolate!”

Joy

One day at recess, you and your friends find a little bird on the ground.
It looks like it has a hurt wing.
Some kids want to touch it right away, but you say,
 “Wait - don’t hurt it.”

You carefully pick up the bird using a soft towel and take it to the teacher for help. You speak softly and move slowly so the bird feels safe.

Gentleness

At school, you notice your classmate Mia sitting quietly during lunch.
She looks sad and isn’t eating anything.
 You ask, “Are you okay?”
Mia says she forgot her lunch at home and doesn’t have anything to eat.

You look at your lunchbox and say,

“That’s okay — I’ll share mine with you!”

You give her half of your sandwich and some fruit.

Mia smiles and says, “Thank you!”

Kindness

Every week, your teacher asks for volunteers to help in the school library after class.
You raise your hand and promise to help every Wednesday.

Some weeks, your friends invite you to play games or go to the park instead.
It’s tempting to skip your library duty, but you remember your promise.

So, you go to the library, sort the books, and help the librarian — just like you said you would.
Your teacher smiles and says, “Thank you for being dependable. I can always count on you!”

Faithfulness

On your way home from school, you see a wallet lying on the sidewalk.
You pick it up and open it — inside there’s money and an ID card with someone’s name.
No one else is around, so you could keep it, and no one would know.

But instead, you take the wallet to your parents and say,
“Someone must have lost this. Can we find who it belongs to?”

Together, you contact the person, and they’re so thankful to get it back.

Goodness

Your grandma isn’t feeling well, and she’s moving slowly around the house.
You notice that the floor needs sweeping and the dishes are still in the sink.
Even though you were planning to play your favorite game, you decide to help her first.

You quietly clean the kitchen, sweep the floor, and bring her a cup of tea.
Grandma smiles and says, “Thank you, sweetheart!”

Your mom just baked a batch of warm, yummy cookies. 🍪
 They smell so good!

She says, “These are for after dinner. Please don’t eat any yet.”

While she’s in the other room, you look at the cookies and really want to grab one.
No one would know... but you remember what your mom said.

You take a deep breath, walk away, and wait until after dinner — and when she gives you a cookie, it tastes even better because you did the right thing!
