What is a forklift?
A station at Hadrian where technicians employ manual techniques to perform small modifications so they fit customer requirements.
What is Rework?

What are chips?
A precision inspection tool used to verify the dimensional accuracy, pitch, diameter, and profile of internal or external screw threads. They ensure threaded parts meet specifications for size and fit, commonly using "Go/No-Go" mechanisms to check if threads are within tolerances for manufacturing.
What is a thread gage?
The system built and used by Hadrian employees to be able to track different operations and track how parts move through our system.
What is Flow?
The section/process of the factory where NC Tools are assembled, disassembled, and stored along with their components.
What is Tool Crib?
Abbreviation for "Outside Processing". Any finishing or modification to a machined part that is done outside of Hadrian. Examples include chemicals added to coat the surface of the part, anodization, keensert installation, etc.
What is OSP?
A fluid mixture of 10:1 water/oil that is spraying on the metal and the blade when cutting. Allows the machine to operate properly.
What is coolant?
Coordinate Measuring Machine. How we ensure our parts are meeting customer specifications. Highly precise measurements.
What is CMM?
A document that identifies and reports any discrepancies between the actual condition of a product, service or process and the requirements defined by quality standards
What is an NCR?
The tool used to cut material at material prep.
What is a bandsaw?
A station at Hadrian where technicians use laser engravings, ink, and epoxy markings to serialize units of a workorder.
What is Part Mark?
Machining Testing. This is the process of creating the first part that meets customer specifications. The process usually requires several loops between CAM programming, machining on a CNC, and CMM inspection to make the first part to within tolerance and spec.
What is a proveout?
A specialized tool for precisely assessing hole and slot dimensions and positions.
What is a pin gage?
Official training document owned by Workforce Development, tells a technician how to complete a certain procedure at a station.
What is a How to Guide?
A presetter station used for building tools that are sent to the CNC machines. Also used for breaking down tools (i.e. Heatshrinks, ER collet tools, Powergrip tools, Shunk hydraulics and Insert tools)
What is Omega?
A signed document from an OSP vendor that says “The work we did or the parts we made meet all the required specs.” Abbreviation for Certificate of Conformance.
What is CoC?
Refers to the operation of loading the stock into the machine for the first machining operation
What is OP10?
This is where part drawing requirements are listed and where inspection data is entered. This is also where final inspection reports are created to send to customers.
What is a DIP?
Official training document owned by Workforce Development, tells a technician what procedures are done at a certain station.
What is a Station Overview?
The process that measures a tool for any Out of Tolerance features and wiping/writing new information RFID chip inside the holder.
What is Macro?
How long the epoxy is good for at Part Mark before we have to make a new batch.
What is 2.5 hours?
The software created by engineers to be able to manage the VLMs and pallets within them. Used to connect Flow to the linear rail.
What is Motherbrain?
A precision inspector that can buyoff hardware or parts. Also supports technicians for any complex inspection processes
