Tradition 1: Imam As-Sadiq (‘a) said: Allah, the exalted will record a thousand accepted Hajj and a thousand accepted Umrahs and grant a thousand requests pertaining to this life and hereafter for one who performs the Ziyarah of Imam Al-Husayn ('a) on the eve of fifteenth Shaban, on the eve of ‘Eid al-Fitr and on the eve of Arafah, all in the same year.

Tradition 2: Imam As-Sadiq (‘a) said: On Arafah Day, the Almighty Allah looks at the visitor of the grave of Imam Al-Husayn ('a) and says, “Continue with good deeds, for I have forgiven you.” Then He attends to the people in Arafat.

Tradition 3: Imam As-Sadiq (‘a) said: On Arafah Day, Allah looks at the visitor of the grave of Husayn and says, “Return with your past sins forgiven.” Also, no sins will be recorded for him for seventy days after he returns.

What are three guidelines that must be followed during the Tawaf?

  • We are advised to remain within the Maqam of Ibrahim(as), the stone with the footprint of the Prophet(as)

  • Whilst circumambulating the Kaaba, our left shoulder must consistently remain towards the Kaaba, so no turning in any other direction.

  • All steps taken must be voluntary(any pushing and shoving can result in involuntary steps which need to be repeated).
