FALSE
CARTER BONUS: Why do you think we want our clients and families to do work outside of sessions?
What does it look like to have respect for your family?
Looks like saying kind things, helping out, being safe with your body, not being physical, hitting and yelling.
You find a random knife on the side of the road...........
Not control- You can't control what others throw on the side of the road.
Control- You CAN control if you listen to any intrusive thoughts that may be making you think it's a good choice to pick it up and keep it.
You can pick it up and throw it away, you can ignore it and walk by.
You can let an adult know that there is a dangerous item on the side of the road.
You always have control to make the right choice.

NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just kidding. The longest we will be able to work together is one year. However if every team member (mom, dad, Carter, Adam, Riley, Eileen, school staff) feel like we have made a significant amount of progress and it's appropriate to discharge before a year then we can.
If you want to earn someone's trust you can......
Tell the truth
Do what you say
being consistent (do the same thing every time)
listening to someone else's suggestions or ideas.
