He insults Ophelia telling her to go off and be a nun for the rest of her life, throws/drags her around, gives her mixed messages saying he once loved her then saying he never did. He was overall just very violent.
Act III - Why does Hamlet not kill Claudius the first time even when he had the perfect opportunity to?
Even though Claudius was all alone, he was praying in a confession booth, so Hamlet realized that if he killed him now he would go to Heaven as he now had a clean soul. He felt it wouldn't be good revenge if he went to Heaven instead of Hell.
