-Knock on the door identifying yourself, if there is no answer, follow protocol to key in
-Inform residents why you are there, tell them you need to to enter the room, and ask if Public Safety may enter.
-Look for any drugs or paraphernalia, and if there is any, inform Public Safety - DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING
-Get Identification for everyone in the room (If anyone refuses, Public Safety will handle it), write an IFUN for everyone in the room, and write an Incident Report

-Collect IDs from every person in the room, write IFUNs and write an Incident Report
Why is it important to be as descriptive as possible when writing a report?
The report will be forwarded to the resident, and used in their hearing. In some cases it can even be used in court
