What voice level should you be at in the classroom for the most part. Why?
Level 0 - the teacher is talking and helping us learn.
What should you do if a teacher blows the whistle at recess?
Stop playing and listen to the whistle and stay down. Walk after 2nd whistle.
How should you talk while you are eating lunch with others?
Quietly/level 1/2 voice.
What should you do when the teacher is talking during a lesson?
Level 0 voice and face the teacher for understanding.
What are the dots for on the floor in the classroom?
To line up in number order.
How should we behave in the classroom?
Use the right voice levels, stay in your chair, follow directions the 1st time.
If you want to join a game that someone else is playing, what should you do?
Ask politely if you can join.
ASK :) or find something else if they say no and tell the me or the supervisors.
What should you do if you accidentally spill food or a drink?
Tell the supervisors and help the accident.
What should you do if you want to speak during a lesson?
Raise your hands and wait for the teacher to call on you. DO NOR SHOUT OUT LOUD. Especially if I did not call on you.
What is line order important. Why does it matter?
To see who is absent or if there is an emergency I can see who is missing faster. No arguing about getting in line first.
How should I treat my classmates and adults?
Be kind, keep hands to yourself, acknowledge each other and support each other, not teasing and laughing at others.
What should you do if someone takes your turn or cuts in line during recess?
Use your words calmly or ask a teacher for help.
Should you eat other people's food?
No - kindly do not share your food or ask others for food. The rule is to not share food.
How should your body look when you are ready to learn?
Sitting nicely, eyes watching, ears listening.
Is food and drinks allowed in class.?
What are some of the hand signals we use in the class?
Signals may vary.
Why is it important to follow playground rules, even when a teacher is not watching?
Because rules keep everyone safe and help recess be fun for everyone.
What is the best thing to do if there is a problem or disagreement during lunch?
Tell the supervisors but also don't touch anyone, do not get involved, and help calm it down.
What should you do if you don’t understand the lesson?
Raise your hand and ask for help. It is ok to be shy at times but this class is a safe learning environment.
How should you leave your desk before going home?
Clean, neat , organized. No loose items on tables. Headphones in bags and in the box. No trash on floor.
How should we be sitting on the carpet and how should we sit at our desks?
Answers vary.
What does Mr. Fernandez tell you all to remember to go to before recess is over?
Bathroom/eat snacks/wash hands.
What should the class do when I arrive to pick the class up and how do we get back to the class.
Sit quietly and stand when I give the thumbs up, turn to face the office and walk quietly or whispering.
What should you do if someone near you is distracting you during the lesson?
Stay focused and tell the teacher if needed.
Can everyone participate in the marble jar party if it gets filled up?
Maybe, but you may have to sit with another class while we have the marble party if your behavior is inconsistent and you do not follow the school and class expectations.
