What steps need to be completed for a full discharge for a client?
The discharge summary, send the client the crisis resources and discharge letter, and email the front desk to inform them that a discharge was completed.
Name at least 2 steps that you would take if a client requires lethal means counseling
- complete a crisis plan
- contact a client's support if an roi is in place to ensure that client is not able to get access to weapons/ means in the home.
- If there is no ROI, obtain one. The client's word that something is out of their possession is not sufficient.
- Document lethal means counseling was provided and add details into the note.
- Assess risk with cssrs if you have not done so already
