No, just themselves. They may continue to stay in their room if they opt to pay an additional fee.

How can a student change their meal plan?
They can fill out a meal plan change request form. You can provide them with the link by looking up "UCSB meal plan change."
Where can students store their surfboards?
Various first-come, first-served surfboard racks near the residence halls.
Is Willie ever available to take a phone call?

My roommate can no longer attend UCSB and will be cancelling their housing contract. Will the students who remain in the room be charged for a double?
No, they will continue to be charged for a triple, and the vacant space will be filled soon after.

Can students have their beds lofted/de-lofted?

When are fees charged when cancelling a housing contract?
When the student cancels after September 1st and plans to remain a student at UCSB. NEVER when: the student is graduating, withdrawing from UCSB, or studying abroad.
Where should you place a check for DigiKnow? Who should you notify after a check has been dropped off?

Can students change their move-in time to be earlier?
Students may opt to come after their scheduled move-in time, but cannot opt in to an earlier move-in due to limited spaces.
A student reaches out about a maintenance issue in their room (mold, something broken, etc.). What should they do?
Submit a work order, providing all necessary information regarding their issue.
What should every entry in the UCHS Notes document include?
The date! Information is dated so that we are able to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information to those who call or email us.
A student plans to study abroad in the Winter Quarter and live in campus housing in the Spring Quarter. What should they do to ensure that they can do this?
Cancel their housing contract for Winter and Spring Quarter, then reapply for Spring Quarter housing.

How can the leader of a roommate group (before self-selection) leave the group?
The leader must disband the group. The new group must then re-form with a new leader.

What should a student do if they are carrying less than 12 units?
If this is their first time doing so, no action is required. If they have done so more than once, they will need to reach out to UCHS and get approval to keep their housing contract.
