All foods are technically processed. When we compare whole foods vs processed foods, we are talking mainly about the nutritional value. Whole foods have the most nutritional value because they are minimally processed. Processed foods have gone through many stages to taste good, maintain a stable shelf life, have a certain texture and look, ect.

Fruits grow seeds on the inside, veggies grow seeds outside of their fruiting body. Veggies often grow their seeds on the flower part of the plant, not the edible part.

What is the difference between Vitamins and Minerals?

Vitamins are organic nutrients that naturally occur in plants and animals. ex. Vitamin A, C, D, E

Minerals are inorganic nutrients that plants and animals get from somewhere else. ex. When you eat beef, you get a lot of iron. Cows get iron from the grass they eat, and thus beef that we eat has iron in it.
