How does my school counselor expect me to behave during guidance?
I am expected to be respectful and responsible as in every class. This means listening and raising my hand to share. I should participate when asked.

Mrs. Tucker and Mrs. Jones
How can I see my school helpers?
You can let your teacher know you would like to meet. You can fill out a referral form that your teacher has. You can also let your parents know you would like a visit.
When is my counselor here? my social worker?
Mrs. Jones is here everyday. Mrs. Tucker is here on Mondays and Thursdays and every other Wednesday.
All of my feelings are okay.

What are cart helpers? Their responsibilities?
Cart helpers are the guidance assistants for the day. They can help with passing out materials or whatever is needed.

Who can I go to for help if the counselors are not available?
You can talk with any of your teachers. We also have other helpers in the office.
If I need to talk, I can just leave class.

False. I need to ask permission when we are having free time. Petting her whenever is distracting and sometimes not welcome by Meadow.

Two: Hudson in 4th grade, and Leland who is now a Trojan in 7th grade.
Do I go to the counselor's office if I get in trouble?
No. The counselors are not in charge of discipline at the school. We may, however, talk about making better choices.
What does confidentiality mean?
Confidentiality means that things will be kept private that I say when visiting the counselor.

This is the 8th year Mrs. Tucker has been here. This is the 4th year for Mrs. Jones. However, Mrs. Jones was also a student here.

False. My counselors will try to see me, when at all possible, during a time where I do not miss class.

False. Adults in the building always need to let someone know if a student is planning to hurt themselves, or someone else. We also need to let others know if someone else is hurting you.
I have anger issues so I am not responsible for what I do sometimes.
False. We are all responsible for our choices. Some of us need to work a bit more to make good choices when difficult feelings arise.

False, No one is perfect. Counselors and other helpers expect students to try their best. We are all always learning.
Where are Mrs. Jones' and Mrs. Tucker's offices located?
Their rooms are in the main office, in the back hallway.

False. A counselor can provide help with problem-solving. However, it is up to you to make different choices.

False. It depends on what the counselors think may be helpful. Some students may visit once while others may visit a few times.
