Never. Only send to RN unless very urgent or secure chat NP and include RN if its something the NP needs to see or a direct question regarding pt. Usually regarding pt appt.

 What are you the red flag symptoms? 

Abdominal pain, bleeding, fever, loss of consciousness, numb, difficulty swallowing, head injury, shortness of breath, impaired speech, eye pain or vision loss, confusion/memory loss, suicidal thoughts, weakness

Click telephone call, fill out Dr. and location, begin encounter, Incoming call tab, document reason for call, your message, route to appropriate pool or individual.

What all do New pts with HMO insurance need prior to scheduling and sending for review?

referral, auth, progress notes, imaging. labs, then schedule first available and send for review.

What are non-urgent symptoms? 

Low rating pain, anything that is not on the red flag symptoms

What do you do after scheduling every procedure?

Document that pt was scheduled, sent new patient letter.

What type of calls go to each pool?

CNH referrals- new pt referral needing triage + any dx that you cant schedule for needing review.

CNH hep MA- refil;s, lab orders, bowel prep, placing orders etc. SOME results

CNH scheduling- sooner appts, anything needing to be added into pt chart from rightfax. etc

All symptoms, medical questions go to assigned RN
