And the Pembroke shire Wales folklore dates back to the 10th century which is when and where the Pembroke Welsh corgi originated.

-Fun fact: The white mark on their shoulders shows evidence to the theory that they were the enchanted dog of the fay who were used by fairies and elves as steeds for their warriors.

What is Sphynx?

Valve dysplasia is a malformation of heart valves allowing blood to flow back into the chamber it came from. In 1966 a DSH gave birth to a kitten named prune with a recessive genetic mutation to be hairless, this kitten led to the now popular hairless breed. With the lack of fur this breed is more susceptible to sunburns and skin cancer.

Fun Fact: A sphynx cats temperature runs about 4 degrees warmer than other kitties!

-White and Cream-colored dogs were killed at birth because of superstition however the Malcom family purposely bred as they believed the white coat made them easier to spot in the rocky highlands as the breed was bred for hunting small vermin.

Westies tend to be generally healthy and loyal dogs; however, they are very energetic, loud, and take time to train!

This sensitivity makes it difficult for vets to perform surgeries or even administer simple medications, such as flea preventatives. MDR1 is diagnosed through DNA testing.

-Pointed breeds have lighter colored fur on the body than the points. This is a large and laid back breed that tends to act more like a dog with a keen interest in humans and many have been taught too come and fetch. Ragdolls are one of the few breeds higher risk to carrying a gene leading to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which is a condition causing the muscles of the heart to thicken.

-Progressive retinal atrophy is the name of the condition, and it is the degeneration of the retina. It primarily affects the rods and cone cells, which pick up light, movement, and color. It can also degrade the pigmented epithelium layer that helps protect the rods and cones. Eventually, the degradation of these leads to blindness.

However as a result this mutation aso causes severe cartilage abnormalities of the bones causing defective bone developments. Making much of this breed suffer from degenerative joint disease.

-This breed is considered playful, charming, adaptable, stubborn and willful. The Maltese responds well to rewards-based training. GME is a potentially life-threatening inflammatory autoimmune disease of the central nervous system which is believed to have a genetic component. No genetic testing for GME currently exists.
