In the beginning she thinks that he is annoying, a douchbag and a cheater. At the end of the story she sees a softer side of him because of his son.

We realize that Cheesy is actually a father; a softer side of his character; he has a macho facade, but he is vulnerable, as he probably have failed as a partner and as a father.
