No, but rewriting notes is! This is an active form of studying, which can help you memorize information faster. Writing down everything you can remember from your notes, and then comparing it to the original is a great way to see what you remember, and what you need to keep working on.

It depends.  You want to choose classes that are going to challenge you, but not overwhelm you.  It is all about balance!

Yes!  There are multiple honors societies, academic teams, language clubs, math clubs, etc.  You can get involved in Debate Team, Youth-In-Government, and so on!

False!  All students attend a retreat each year.  Each school structures their retreats a little differently, but the main purpose is to help you to get to know your classmates better and to deepen your relationship with God.

Is it a good idea to pull an all-nighter studying? Why or why not?

It is not beneficial, as a sleep-deprived brain loses efficiency at each hour of sleep deprivation. Also, this form of studying does not engage long-term memory, meaning you will likely need to relearn the information. Getting plenty of rest before a test or exam is just as beneficial to your performance as studying.

What is the difference between AP and College Credit Plus courses?

AP (Advanced Placement) and CCP (College Credit Plus are equally difficult college freshmen level courses.  Both can be taken to earn college credit.  The difference is how those credits are earned.

Can you participate in multiple sports each season?

In high school, you often must choose one sport per season.  There are often times try-outs, as well.  Not every sport makes cuts, though!  You never know unless you try!

The most effective method of studying is to spend 20-30 minute increments reviewing the information, multiple times per day. This repetition allows your brain to hold onto information, while also giving you needed breaks to optimize your productivity.

Your GPA starts to become important from the moment you walk through the doors of your high school.  Your GPA is tallied at the end of every semester you attend high school and is used for college applications, class rank, etc.

Yes!  You never know what something is all about until you go and check it out.  If it isn't for you, try something different.  It is one of the best ways to meet new people

If enthusiasm and passion are present, people tend to be more resilient when encountering obstacles. People who are passionate about what they do tend to be people who have more positive outlooks and can overcome difficulty through problem-solving.

 Are practice tests a good idea for studying?

Yes! This method is proven to be one of the most successful study methods. Creating your own practice questions is a good idea, but resources like quizlet, kahoot, knowt, and other review games are extremely helpful.
