What was the Balkan Powder Keg - How did it lead to war?

The Balkan region was highly disputed, taken over by Austria-Hungry, wanted independence, nationalist tendencies - lots of tension in the area.

It led to war because Bosnian Serb Gavrilo Princip assassinated Austria Hungary Archduke Ferdanand. Leading to Austria Hungary declaring war on Serbia and they called in their respective allies.

Dole was a financial help during depression.

 To apply: you had to live in the same town or community for 6 months to one year, you had to turn in your drivers license to prove you weren't going to leave, you also had to give in your phone since it was a miscellaneous item and an extra cost to pay for.

Some people didn't apply because people thought it was embarrassing.
