It led to war because Bosnian Serb Gavrilo Princip assassinated Austria Hungary Archduke Ferdanand. Leading to Austria Hungary declaring war on Serbia and they called in their respective allies.

Dole was a financial help during depression.
To apply: you had to live in the same town or community for 6 months to one year, you had to turn in your drivers license to prove you weren't going to leave, you also had to give in your phone since it was a miscellaneous item and an extra cost to pay for.
Some people didn't apply because people thought it was embarrassing.
