What is hand washing?
When inclement weather limits outdoor activities, this must be provided.
What is indoor gross motor activities?
After lunch, the children enjoy a rest time. This is the distance the mats are placed in order for the children to rest.
What are 2 feet?
This must be designed so that all parts are visible and easily supervised, with staff spread out to cover more areas. It must also have 2 different types of surfacing.
What is the playground?
This pre-service training about safety must be held prior to staff working with children.
What are building and physical premises safety and handling and storage of hazardous materials and appropriate disposal of bio-contaminants? (discuss fire drills, tornado drills and Ninja drills.)
These products are kept locked up and out of reach of children and they must have a signed note from parents to be allowed to use them.
What are topical products?
This must be shown to the staff member in order to release a child to an adult they do not know.

Staff aides, without supervision from an early childhood teacher or director, may supervise no more than how many preschool age children while assisting children with toileting.

This many clock hours of professional development training is the minimum that all staff who work with children must complete annually.
What are 15 clock hours?
When a child needs these because of a specific accident, we usually call the parent because all children must be potty-trained to attend our school.
What is a change of clothes?
This term is used when a child is not able to climb on anything to obtain an item.
What is inaccessible?
This must be limited for children and is prohibited during snack or meal times.

Who are staff members designated by the Director and the nurse consultant who have completed medication administration training and have current delegation by the nurse consultant. Just FYI, Gatorade is considered a medication. Flavored water or energy drinks are also not allowed. Children must have only plain water in their water bottles or plain milk in their lunch thermos bottles. The school must have written parent permission for anything topical we apply and a doctor’s permission for anything ingested.
This must be available to staff at all times, must be located out of reach of children and maintained in a sanitary condition, plus be checked and re-stocked monthly.
What is the portable first aid kit?
