Council to Homeless Persons is a not for profit organisation who advocates for the homeless people for their rights and provisions with the Governments and Local Councils in Australia. It also provides peer support, consumer participation (PESP) by raising awareness among the people via mass communication such as campaigns, social media, trainings and forums(CHP, 2018)

What are the three criteria for homelessness? 

Australian Beauro of Statistics defines homelessness a situation in which a person fulfils the following criteria (2012). Firstly, they are in a dwelling that is inadequate, or secondly, there is no tenure, or if their tenure is short and non-extendable, or does not allow them to have control of, and access to space for social reasons.

What is the lasting effect of Paula's experience?

She has never lost her fear of returning to that state.

This is a major issue with people who "recover" from mental illness. They live in fear that one day they will become ill again due to unforeseen circumstances.

It is very important for us as RNs to remember and respect that "recovery" is an ongoing and very individualised process.  :)
