What is intrinsic regulation?
Most homeostatic systems are regulated this way.
What is negative feedback?
When the response by the body feeds into the stimulus or is in the same direction as the stimulus.
Positive feedback
Cells in a part of the skin aren't getting enough blood. These cells release histamine which dilates local vessels supplying these cells with more blood.
What is intrinsic regulation?
If our body temperature got too high, the response by the body would be to cool us off.
What is negative feedback?

What is extrinsic regulation?
Receptors in large vessels signal that blood pressure is too low. The brain sends signals to increase the heart rate as one way to help fix the issue. What is the effector?
