When is a student eligible to file a request for a Hearing on CHI?
Any time after the student has been informed of the report up to and including the date 7 days after a formal accusation from an I-Panel.
(Not-so-fun fact: There is a typo in the CHI Procedures document that says 10 days. This is incorrect.)
What portion of the panel needs to come from the accused student’s school?
Each accused student may elect to have at least four members of the student panel from their undergraduate or graduate schools or departments.

What happens if a fourth-year is reported during the Spring semester, and their I-Panel cannot be scheduled until after graduation?
The student can graduate as normal, and they will receive their degree.
Under what circumstances might an IR period be extended?
Obscene amount of evidence, student decides last minute and commits to taking an IR and getting signatures in a short amount of time after the technical IR period is over.
At what point is a student going through the CHI process deemed to have admitted the “Act” or “Acts” related to the underlying Honor charges?
Any student whose Request for Hearing on CHI has been approved by the Dean.
What portion of the panel must find the student guilty on Act, Knowledge, and Significance in order to reach a guilty verdict?
4/5ths for Act and Knowledge, simple majority for Significance.
How many days the student have to complete their response interview?
They have 7 days.

1. Alleged CHI existed contemporaneously with the reported Honor offense.
2. There was a direct causal connection between the alleged CHI and the reported conduct.
How long after a guilty verdict at a hearing is the student eligible to indicate their intention to file an expedited appeal?
No later than 5:00 PM on the first Wednesday following the date of the hearing.
Up until what point can the student continue submitting evidence?
Up until the final Pre-Hearing.

New Evidence: 2 years.
Good Cause: 30 days.
