It is a team-based anatomy competition for teams of 3-5 participants in SLC.

What is the difference between generalized and focal seizures?

- Tonic, Atonic, Myoclonic, Clonic
Focal seizures begin on 1 side of the brain + may cause changes in awareness, behavior, or sensation, or abnormal movements on 1 side of the body!
Generalized seizures begin on both sides of the brain at the same time + usually cause loss of consciousness/awareness, or abnormal movements on both sides of the body!
- Tonic: Muscles become stiff
- Atonic: Sudden, unexpected loss of muscle strength
- Myoclonic: Short, sudden/quick jerking movements
- Clonic: Periods of rhythmic shaking/jerking movements
