LISTEN: Let the Guest say everything they need to say. If they are interrupted, they will feel the need to start over. Nod and be sympathetic toward the Guest’s needs.

APOLOGIZE: After the Guest is through with their reasoning for their dissatisfaction, kindly apologize, even if there’s nothing to apologize for.

SOLVE: At this point, decide the best route to take. Do not ask the guest what they'd like you to do. Sometimes food just needs to be reheated, it needs to be completely remade, or they decide on something else. Regardless, remove the undesired food from the Guest with their permission. Offer to get them something else, if they do not want that-let them know that you will be taking care of their undesirable food and promptly remove the food from the check, so that it is not forgotten. 

THANK: While it may sound odd, thank the Guest for bring their problem to your attention. Many people may be too proud or do not want to inconvenience the person who is assisting them. When thanking the Guest for bringing it to your attention, remember the Guest is giving you an opportunity to solve the issue.
