List 3 ways to encourage your students

If a student feels nauseous, what can they do / you do?

How do know when a student is struggling + how do you help?

Look at bodies! [and you yourself, BREATHE.]

1. it can take 3-5 classes for your nervous system to acclimate to the heat --- stay in the room

2. remind them to breathe

3. one hand on heart, one on belly, chin to chest

If a student feels nauseous, they can breathe, find stillness. As the teacher, we can get them salt, a cool towel, and encourage them to continue / stay in the room.

If a student is struggling, they may not be breathing / may be breathing shallow breaths. They may also be sitting. You can help them by encouraging them to breathe and by reminding them to meet their body and self where they are today // less is more.
