How often should you meet with Nijjah?
1. If you have an ACS case, mental health diagnosis, crisis, or a child under the age of 2, you must meet with Nijjah weekly.
What days is the housing specialist available?
1. Daily off-site via phone/ email from 9 am - 5 pm
2. In-office Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am - 5 pm
How often should you provide an updated physical?
Yearly
At what time does recreation starts?
1:00 pm
What are the hours to retrieve food from the pantry?
Starting September, between 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm
What to do if I need a referral?
Request an appointment with Nijjah.
(make sure to bring your state ID and medical insurance)
What are my housing programs options? and how do I qualify for the programs?
Programs: City FHEPS, FHEPS
Qualifications:
City FHEPS - Must be working 30 hours for at least 30 days
FHEPS - Eviction / Domestic Violence
SOTA Pathway Home - Employment (Rent must be 2x your income)
What is considered a passing unit?
1. Carbon monoxide must be on (Do not cover)
2. The unit should be organized and clean
3. Trash should be taken out daily
4. All hazardous material should be out kids' reach
5. Fire escape should be clear for exit
6. Make sure that Window guards are not tempered with (Ex. Pulled, kicked, shaken)
Can my kids attend recreation if I have not signed the Recreation agreement?
No
When is the appropriate time to request a MetroCard?
Case by case. it will depend on a person's circumstances.
What kind of referrals does the social worker (Nijjah) provides?
1. Psych evaluations
2. Therapy (Individual, family, and DV)
3. Substance use and Alcohol treatment program
4. DOE (Behavior modification, speech therapy, and early intervention)
5. Social services (Parenting classes, anger management)
Do I need to have a public assistance case open?
Yes, in order to get any program you must have an active case.

What should your kids bring when we go on trips?
1. Water
2. Emergency Contact
What do to if I missed my appointment with Camela?
1. Make sure to request your Metrocard at the appropriate time.
2. Request to speak to Ramona before 3 pm.
3. If Ramona is not available, request to talk to Tracy.

Your children should be picked up, they should not go upstairs by themselves.

1. Fill out the maintenance form.

1. Summiting all requested documents
2. keeping all your appointments with the housing specialist, case manager, client care coordinator, and public assistance.
