How often do you renew your lease? Is this the same as how often you should renew your voucher?
This depends on the type of lease. Sometimes it is the same renewal time and sometimes the lease and voucher need to be renewed at different times.
How do you put in requests for repairs?
NYCHA -- You put in a ticket via app or 718 number
Supportive -- Through case manager
Section 8/Cityfheps -- Through Super Intendant
How do you remove a squatter from your home?
Go to the civil court, serve the squatter a 30 day notice, provide documentation that you are the sole tenant, and once the squatter leaves you need to follow a specific process to dispose of the squatter's belongings otherwise you could be liable for a lawsuit.
