The Blackfoot Nation is made up of four Blackfoot tribes: the Siksika, the Kainiai, and the Southern Piegan and the Northern Piegan.

Yes, the Blackfoot were very fierce warriors, and they were into designs. They used warrior paint to decorate their faces to look even stronger and tougher, and they used paint and beads to decorate their clothing and their teepees.

What are moccasins?
Moccasins are the footwear for some Native American tribes. People said that the Blackfoot tribe's moccasins were sometimes burnt or smoked from the prairie fires, or painted black (nobody is sure what is the truth), which is why the Siksika (and the other tribes part of the Blackfoot Nation) are called the Blackfoot.

It is a horse race! Generations of Siksika have been skilled riders, and they are continuing the tradition today, through the Indian Relay and their love for horses (they respect and care for the horses a lot).
