What is the acronym learnt in this lesson
ICECAP
What will occur if a lesson lacks interest?
Without interest the cadets will be less inclined to listen and will not learn.
What is the objective of this lesson
To know how to make and apply/use instructions along with its principles
After a Cadet has accomplished their goal, the instructor should do what after?
Confirm and verify
What will occur if a lesson lacks Participation?
Without participation, cadets become passive listeners. They may think they understand the material, but without practice or involvement, learning is shallow and easily forgotten.
(If they get one of the points listed, the win this box)
Why is this important in your over life
You'll use this skill your whole life and everywhere
You are the ONLY cadet instructing map and compass in your camp (In the woods), what's the best activity for the Red Stars:
Find your way back in the night.
Look for things as a whole group together
Split the group to have them compete searching for stuff
"Look for things as a whole group" Safety is still prioritized
What will occur if a lesson lacks Confirmation?
Without confirmation, the instructor has no way of knowing whether cadets understood the material. Misunderstandings may go unnoticed, and incorrect information may be retained.
What is the difference between Accomplishment and Confirmation in a lesson?
Accomplishment = They can do it.
Confirmation = We verify they can do it.

Corpral
Cadets look engaged and participate. The instructor finishes on time but does not ask any review questions, does not have cadets demonstrate the skill, and does not check for understanding. What principle is missing, and what occurs?
Confirmation is missing. Without confirmation, the instructor can’t tell whether cadets learned correctly, so misunderstandings remain and cadets may leave thinking they understand when they don’t.

After finishing Jeopardy/(reach end of lesson) You will...
Teach each other skills with the activities provided
An instructor explains a skill clearly and allows cadets to practice. However, many cadets practice incorrectly, and the instructor does not correct them during the activity. At the end, cadets feel confident but are performing the skill wrong.
Which principle failed?
Confirmation failed.
Although participation and accomplishment seemed present, the instructor did not properly check and correct understanding. Without confirmation, incorrect learning becomes reinforced.
A cadet completes a skill successfully once during a lesson. The instructor observes it and moves on without asking review questions. Has both Accomplishment and Confirmation occurred? Explain.
Accomplishment occurred because the cadet successfully performed the skill.
Confirmation partially occurred through observation, but it may be weak if the instructor did not verify deeper understanding (e.g., asking why steps were done or checking consistency).
