When a customer advises a Delta specialist of their allergy, the specialist must document the PNR with a PNUT SSR, address the subject with sensitivity and respond in the following manner:
"Yes Mr. Smith, I understand that you (or your child) have an allergy to peanuts. I will make a note of your allergy in your record, but as a precaution, it is always a good idea to advise the gate agent and the flight attendants of your allergy so they can refrain from serving peanut products. But please understand that we cannot guarantee a peanut free-flight."
