Scaling and Root Planning, when someone has deep pockets and bacteria in them causing bone loss AKA Periodontal disease.

How far out do you schedule an implant and why?

2 weeks out preferably to make sure clinical has the parts, after you schedule the implant notify Kat or Mallory by Via Email to let them know.

When we take insurance BUT do not participate with the insurance fees.

Why do we focus so much on pending?

Pending is our future, with out it we have no schedule therefore no collections, therefore no job.

What is a focus appointment and what information do you need?

Emergency or limited exam focussing on one area. where is the tooth bothering them? is it hot cold sens? is the tooth broken/ cracked? when did the pain starts? Are they taking anything for pain? Is it keeping you up at night and is there swelling?

What do you do what a patient notifies you that they have new ins.?

Gather all the necessary info, take the old insurance out of the family file. Giver new insurance to Kalene or Nicky. DO NOT PUT INS IN THE FAMILY FILE WITH OUT VERIFYING THE INS. PLEASE

Next to the hallway by the break room. Guides the doctors so they know where they are needed to go.

Who and when and how are conformations done?

Dentrix hub does 8 days before the appointment if not confirmed by phone call, 3 days is a text 2 days is a phone call and  1 day is a text and email if not confirmed. They get a text 4 hours prior as well. The day before the admin team will make calls to those not confirmed as well.

What do you do when you have an issue?

Go to the person you have an issue with or if you are not comfortable go to any of the leaders.

How do we notify the doctor when he is needed somewhere else?

Available assistant will write the op number and what is needed on a sticky note and put it on the lower right monitor in the op room he is in. Then say Hey I am just leaving this note is there anything I can give you.

How do you check in a patient?

Greet the patient, check and see if they have any paperwork needed to be completed( by Karen) Tell the patient we will let them know they are here, then turn their status blue or green if ready and IM that the patient is either here doing and update or here and ready.
