Family care leave provides unpaid time off from work for up to 26 weeks to care for:

Can I have access to a designated specialist for my financial health? 

Employees are eligible for a complimentary financial review with a designated Bank of America or Merrill specialist, either in person or by phone.

Can I buy more time off? 

Yes! 

How it works: 

  • The cost of your purchased time off is based on your pay rate at the time you elect it and remains the same throughout the calendar year, regardless of any changes (increases or decreases) in your rate of pay.
  • You may purchase a minimum of four hours and a maximum of your scheduled weekly hours, up to 40 hours.
  • Purchased time off must be purchased in whole-hour increments. If you're scheduled to work fractional hours, the maximum purchased time off will be rounded down to the nearest whole hour.
  • Purchased time off is a pro-rated payroll deduction each pay period. Payroll deductions may not be discontinued during the calendar year.
  • If you're on unpaid leave on Jan. 1, the purchased time off pay period deduction selected during Annual Benefits Enrollment will start once you return to work and your purchased time off balance will be adjusted based on what you will pay for the calendar year.
