Provides employees with two forms of tuition assistance.

Tuition Waiver Program

Employees are eligible to receive SUNY Adirondack tuition waiver on the first day of the semester following the date of hire. One Full-time waiver per academic year.

In the semester following one year of employment, members of the employee's family are eligible to participate in the waiver. Two Full-time equivalent tuition waivers per academic year.

Tuition Reimbursement: 

Employees are eligible to request tuition reimbursement for course completion at other SUNY Institutions.

Additional Sick Leave option

Sick Leave Bank provides participating employees with a specified amount of sick leave that can be used after their own paid sick leave time or their personal leave time converted from sick leave time is exhausted. For faculty this benefit is mandatory and all others it is voluntary.

Number of paid holidays recognized

11 recognized holidays. Prior to the beginning of each fiscal year, the new calendar is released with dates for the upcoming year. This is posted on the N: drive.

Performance evaluations for support, confidential and administrative staff to be based on performance criteria completed through the use of NEOGOV. Evaluation of faculty is in accordance with the Faculty Contract. 

The performance evaluation process will apply to all college employees. Performance expectations differ across groups of employees – faculty, administrative, confidential, and support staff and may differ based on job descriptions and assigned responsibilities.

Merit and other salary increases outside bargaining unit agreements, are not automatic but are intended to reflect performance.

When is open enrollment?

There are two open enrollments during the year. One is May and the second is December.

SUNY & Hudson Headwaters Health Network partnered to offer Mobile Health Center. The Mobile Health Center is on campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of every month. We encourage you to communicate to students that you come into contact with that need this service.
