Students who seek emergency medical assistance for themselves or others experiencing a medical emergency due to alcohol or other drug use may be pardoned by THIS policy:
What is Medical Amnesty?
The Student Must: Contact emergency, medical, law enforcement and/or University staff promptly for assistance, remain with the person experiencing the medical emergency until assistance arrives, and cooperate with all emergency and law enforcement personnel.
This is prohibited on campus and in the residence halls for any kind of use, despite being permitted for medical use in the state.
What is Marijuana?
These are prohibited items according to THIS policy: Ammunition, fireworks, gasoline, propane, lighter fluid, bullets, BB bullets, sparklers, or firecrackers.
What is the Flammables and Combustibles policy? (Must say at least one word from this policy name.)
DESCRIBE the issue with this scenario: A 22-year old keeps beer in the fridge in their Traditions apartment. Their roommates are 23, 21, 20.
What is "Students cannot have alcohol in the common space with any residents/people under the age of 21."
The requirements of a resident who wants to have alcohol and alcohol paraphernalia in the residence halls.
What is a 21 years or older resident who lives in a campus apartment (Traditions)? (Must say both to get the points. Half-points not permitted.)
The possession or use of any lighted or heated cigar, cigarette, water pipe (hookah), E-cigarette, vaporized inhalants or vape, pipe, or smokeless tobacco product.
What is the Tobacco and Nicotine policy?
Must be either 2.5 inches or less in length or made and used for kitchen cooking.
What are Knives?
You visit a resident for a noise violation. You see in the room a stack of red cups on top of a cabinet, an unused bong, and wine glasses. EXPLAIN why you should or should not report this, and what the violation is.
You DO need to report this in an IR.
Alcohol Paraphernalia includes... (Must list at least THREE.)
What are empty alcohol bottles/cans, empty handles, shot glasses, decorative bottles, empty wine bottles, kegs, funnels, drinking game items, bulk or common source alcohol containers, or BORG's?
This is the PROCESS of discovering marijuana/drug paraphernalia in the residence halls.
What is calling OUPD for their presence, calling up to your GRC/RLC on duty, gathering all information/ID of people AND students in the room, photographing all marijuana/drug paraphernalia, emptying all containers, staying with the residents as OUPD addresses the students, and informing the students of the conduct process?
These items are included in the Prohibited Weapons - Guns list. (Must list at least THREE.)
What are firearms, toy guns, replicas, Nerf guns, water guns, BB guns, airsoft guns/rifles, and similar items?
A resident has a decorative wine bottle on their desk. EXPLAIN why you should or should not report this.
What does this relate to? "You should report this. This is still a wine bottle that falls under the alcohol paraphernalia policy."

What is gathering all information/ID of people AND students in the room, gathering all alcohol/alcohol paraphernalia in the center of the room, photographing all containers, emptying all containers, escorting a resident to dispose of the containers in dumpsters, and informing the students of the conduct process?

What are bongs, hookah pipes, 'weed' waxes, marijuana vapes, needles, syringes, roach clips, blunts/joints/pre-rolls, rolling paper, tobacco wraps, SOME scales, residue, nitrous oxide canisters, and other pipes?
Tasers, stun guns, pepper spray, or mace are items that can be in a resident's possession in the residence halls, but cannot be used.
What is the Non-Lethal Handheld Items policy?
You find pepper-spray in a student's room. EXPLAIN why you should or should not report this.
You should NOT report this. This is permitted under the Non-Lethal Handheld Items policy. Students can have pepper spray and mace in the Residence Halls, but they cannot USE these items in the halls.`
