What is Reporting an Absence ?
Weekly grades are submitted by teachers for math (2), Reading (2), Social studies (1) and science (1) weekly and entered into powerschool weekly.
What are grades?
Class charter, expectations, routines (posted and executed), rewards, consequences.

What is the Tulsa Model?
I have reason to believe that a child under the age of 18 has had a physical injury or injuries inflicted upon him/her other than accidental means where the injury appears to have been caused as a result of physical abuse, sexual abuse, or neglect.

A report to the health clerk and office about a staff accident; staff completes an accident report or decline for treatment.
What is an accident at work?
Exit tickets provide information about student learning that allows the teacher to give guided discourse, reteach, etc. around a content standard. The teacher begins with the standard and an exemplar.
What is weekly data analysis?
Instruction during the day for Literacy, Numeracy, Social Studies, Science and specials. SEL practices such as morning meeting and closing circles (building relationships and problem solving).
What is the master schedule?
Observation of teacher in practice with 24 hour notice, within a 10 days window using the TLE rubric
What is a formal classroom observation?
Casual slacks/pants/skirts, casual shirts or blouses, sweaters, skirts or dresses, casual shoes (NOT Tee shirts, sweatshirts, cutoffs or shorts, gym suits or warm-up suits, leggings or jeggings, ripped, stained, soiled clothings or clothing which is too tight or revealing).
What is professional dress according to the TCTA master contract and TPS board policy?
Plan for an absence by preparing a seating chart, split list, schedule, work, etc.
What is a substitute folder?
When student are in the company of a teacher, teacher actively monitors student; avoiding using technology such as texting, social media, games, etc.
What is Supervision of students OR Appropriate Faculty and Staff computer usage?
School Leader/Teacher conference about the lesson observed and observation plus.
What is an observation conference?
Warning, Buddy Teacher, Calm Center, parent contact, parent conference, school guidance counselor, administration.
What is the School Wide Discipline Plan/Hierarchy?
I am home ill and I called in for the day. I may be required to submit appropriate documentation concerning the cause of the absence in order to qualify for sick days.
What is a sick day?
RSA folder, updated folder of student work with a variety of work samples (assessments, worksheets, written work, standardized test reports, rubrics, etc).
Never leave students unsupervised, check restrooms, travel down hallways and common areas circumspectly to be aware of student behavior/location at all times
What is supervision of students?
Void of remedying performance issues from the Tulsa Model within the Tulsa Model Observation Cycle or other timeframe. A growth model for performance improvement between the school leader and the teacher.
What is a Professional Development Plan (PDP)?
Precise directions, positive narration, establishing relationships, rewards and consequences.
What is NNN (No Nonsense Nurturing)?
The first 3 of these days are no cost to the teacher, the last two days shall be charged to the teacher at a rate of $50 per day.
What are personal business days?
Collaborating with your colleague around student learning, strategies and student outcomes.
What is effective planning?
Supervision of students is preventive in nature, continuously observing for hazardous and/or dangerous situations that require intervention. Supervision is NOT an opportunity for supervisors to visit other staff.
What is active Monitoring?
School Leader provides dialogue, email, notes, walk through visits, resources, modeling or other way of support to teachers.
What is feedback/support?
Electronic entry of inappropriate student behavior once the discipline matrix is worked; precedes a log entry in powerschool. There is a NON-Negotiable electronic entry for unsafe behavior.
What is a discipline referral?
