You wouldn't. If your institution address is not a domestic (United States) address, you'll leave the institution name, institution address, degree, and date obtained fields blank. You would still, however, input the education level and field of study (if applicable) in PIMS from I-129 page 19.

My FEIN pulls up more than one petitioner. When is it acceptable to assign the petitioner in PIMS when more than one result populates?

If your petitioner is for a university, hospital, or a well-known petitioner.

I have two G-28s in my petition. How do I determine which G-28 to use when inputting my legal rep in PIMS?

1. Check the form type on G-28 page 2. If one form type says I-129 and the other form type is differing, you would go with the I-129 G-28. If my form types are exactly the same, you will proceed to step 2:

2. You will check the date on G-28 page 3 right column. Whichever date is the latest/most recent date, you will go with that G-28/Legal rep.

You will select the highest degree level in PIMS.

My petitioner address on my I-129 is 100 Hanover SQ but my petitioner address already entered in PIMS is 100 Hanover SQ Ste 10. The city, state, and zip code match. What do I do?

Do not create another entry. The entry that's already listed in PIMS is more complete.

I have to create a new legal rep because the entries that were already made in PIMS have differing addresses than the one I have listed on my G-28. When I go to save my new legal rep creation, it gives me an error and will not let me move forward. What do I do?

Put spaces after the legal rep's name until it lets you save your creation.

Explain why we always uncheck the 'Same as Legal Rep' box before assigning the legal rep.

Because when the legal rep's information is auto-populated into the PPF section, the phone #, firm name, person's name, and/or address could be differing. If this information is saved and it doesn't match the PPF section on the I-129, it would constitute an error.

I have two active LCAs in my petition. How would I determine if I need to enter the employment address into PIMS?

1. If one LCA is marked yes on page 3 and one LCA is marked no, you would input the information from the LCA marked yes.

OR

2. If both LCAs are marked yes and the information is EXACTLY the same, you would input the information from either LCA into PIMS.

If you have two complete alien numbers (none are crossed out) on your petition, how would you list this in PIMS?

1. You'll enter 'SEE NOTES' in the alien number field on the beneficiary page.
