Proctoring Expectations
The goal of proctoring is to set scholars up for success on their exams. We provide a quiet and supportive testing environment for scholars and provide the appropriate accommodations depending on their needs.

What is motivate scholars
An answer is wrong. You hear a teacher say
"That's not how I taught you. You're missing a step."
Don't say anything! Encourage students to keep going when they get tired, and give universal reminders to check their work, and give universal pacing reminders. That's it.
What does room set up look like?

Before leaving Monday 12.8 please complete the following:
Cover all signage in classrooms
Set-up board for Day one of testing
Reset students desks in compliance with our testing protocol

How should test booklets and bubble sheets be arranged?
According to me digging through old IA decks, (my IA1, all of last year's IA roll outs), we have 4 proctoring commitments:
-All hands on deck
-Set the tone
-Give pacing reminders

What is something in the morning that happens the week of IAs that doesnt happen during a regular week?
Brain Breakfast
If you are missing a bubble sheet, extra test booklets, test directions, mints, calculators, rulers, protractors, tissues, pencils, etc. you should:
Text the Ops Support group chat in Slack and request the item or items you're missing.
Have student(s) begin testing, making notes in their booklets, as they wait for the item.
Oh No! A teacher has been sitting the entire test. Proctor 2 comes in and tells them they need to do these two things
What is Circulate, and stand in the corners
This tool make your notes to students get written significantly quicker (its not AI) but I can't even get my ILs to use it so who knows if you will.
Mail Merge
What do you do if a student is absent?
Write his name on the “name” line of the test booklet, his advisory, and the date in pencil.
Put his bubble sheet into the first page of the test booklet and place both into the “Absentee” folder in your test bin.

A teacher notices a bubble sheet doesn't match the answers and universally says "check your work"
"Your bubble sheet does not match the answer you circled on your page. Please go back and make sure all of your answers match."

Advise scholars to use the restroom during Arrival, Breakfast, and AM Pump Up, and Lunch. Once testing begins, the restroom will not be open for scholars for the first 60 minutes of testing. Continue to only allow one scholar at a time to leave the room at a time. There will be a bathroom monitor in the hallway.
