  2. Divide into Teams: Split the class into 2-4 teams.

  3. Select a Scorekeeper: Choose one student or be the scorekeeper yourself.

Rules:

  1. Choose a Category & Amount: The first team selects a category and a dollar amount (e.g., "Reported Speech: Statements for $400").

  2. Answer in the Form of a Question: Reveal the clue. The team must respond in the form of a question, just like in real Jeopardy. For this exercise, that means:

    • For Reported Speech categories: The "clue" is the direct speech. The correct "question" is the reported speech statement.

    • For Unreal Past categories: The "clue" is the situation. The correct "question" is the completed sentence with I wish, If only, etc.

    • For French-Derived Words category: The "clue" is the definition. The correct "question" is "What is [the word]?"

  3. Correct Answer: If correct, the team earns the dollar amount. Add it to their score.

  4. Incorrect Answer: If incorrect, another team can "buzz in" (raise their hand) to steal the points.

  5. Daily Double: (Optional) You can pre-select one clue per round as a "Daily Double." When a team picks it, they can wager some or all of their current points.

  6. Final Jeopardy: (Optional) For the final round, create a more challenging clue. Teams wager points before hearing the clue and write their final answer.
