What is the summer camp held over the summer for foster youth called?

What is a grade incentive and how can you get it?
Youth can receive up to $50 based on grades and participation in school. In order to receive the youth will need to provide their quarterly report card to their worker.
What are ILP Apartments.
Apartments that youth in or transitioning out of care can reside in and learning life skills such as budgeting, cleaning, cooking, etc.. These apartments have a payment program where you only pay a percentage of rent until they can work you up to paying the full amount.
What is a Permanency Plan?
This is the plan that DHR is working towards. Examples are: Return to parent, Permeant Relative Placement, or adoption.

What documents should you make sure to have when aging out of care?
All personal Legal Documents. Drivers license, birth certificate, social security card, Medicaid cared, etc..
How often MUST you attend court?
1 time per year. Permanency Hearing.
What are the requirements for the scholarship that foster youth may receive?
Must be in care upon graduating high school or GED or be 14 at the time of adoption. If you do not graduate or run away, you will not be eligible.

Guardian Ad Litem. This is your personal attorney that advocates for your safety, needs, and wants.
What type of colleges can you use the foster youth scholarship?
Can only be used at PUBLIC colleges. For the Military people, Marion Military Institute is a public college.

What is the difference between aging out and emancipation?

What is an ISP?
Individualized Service Plan. This is the agreement between DHR and client. Youth may begin attending at age 11. If you attend these meetings, you are able to advocate for your needs.
What other things can the foster youth scholarship cover?
Anything that assist you in beginning your career. Cosmetology school, welding classes, etc. any certifications that will allow you to begin a career after completing.
What ages can attend camp?
Camp Life I 14-16
Camp Life II 17-20
What is the Purpose of ILP Funds
To assist youth in transitioning to adulthood.
How long can you stay at an ILP Apartment?
Until 20 years old.
