They take on the responsibility of maintaining households with their mothers. They look after infants, fetch firewood and water, tend to animals and take care of crops.

More responsibilities in the family at an early age. These responsibilities can be watching siblings, cooking, cleaning and working. The youth would end up to maturing fast by taking uo these adult roles.

These children worked exessive hours, had malnutrition and suffered from lack of care. Due to this children had to drop out of school and their opportunities would lessen because they would be uneducated.
