What are coping skills?
Things that we can do in-the-moment when we are not feeling or acting our best, to help us turn down the volume of our emotions and avoid unexpected behaviors.
What is self-regulation?
The ability to monitor and manage your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in ways that are acceptable.
Trying to tell the teacher something that is not important to the class while she is teaching. Ex) The teacher is talking about Chicago, and you tell a story about a family vacation to Chicago.
