Clean as you go! As you finish up with certain dishes rinse and put in the dishwasher right away, or wash it! Wipe down counter spaces when you are done with the area, throw things away that you are done with...etc. 

This saves a ton of time of clean up after the meal is complete!

Rent, utilities (electricity/gas/water/sewer/trash), food, and cell phone.

Cell phones are essential especially if on parole/probation and you need a way for your team to contact you. It does not need to be the fanciest/newest/most expensive phone on the market!

Vehicles are not essential unless you have the means to pay for them! If you do have a vehicle, a vehicle payment/insurance/gas become essential expenses!
