the reason the author wrote the text (to inform, persuade, entertain, or explain).
Author's Purpose
when an author shows favoritism toward one side of an issue.
Bias
look with amazement

Omit
a labeled drawing that explains how something works or shows parts of a whole.
Diagram
words or phrases around an unfamiliar word that help you figure out its meaning.
