First off, this movie opens with THE most badass robery/chase scene that I've ever seen. Period. The main character (who wears a silver jacket with a scorpion on it) doesn't even have a name, and there's an antagonist whose name is "Standard"; like for real for real that's his name. Anyway, Silver jacket guy lives/works in LA as a Hollywood stunt driver, and part time get away driver for robberies and such. He ends up getting cuties from the girl who lives in the apartment next door, so when her mans (Standard) gets out of jail and is having bad dudes show up to break Standard's thumbs, jacket man decides to take one last job (sketchy) to get a big payday and make the bad guys go away. The job goes awry *gasp* and some people end up super dead, so jacket man says screw it and starts doing some killing, meanwhile the top bad dude keeps doing his own killing, till they meet up to exchange a briefcase full of money and jacket bro is all "don't stab me bro" but he gets stabbed anyway (but he stabs the other guy too) and then he just drives off and leaves the briefcase chilling in the parking lot of the diner.

This is really two movies smashed into one. First, this badass dude who rides motorcycles in a metal hampster cage for a traveling carnival meets Eva Mendes and, understandably so, falls in love and starts robbing banks - as one does - in order to be a good baby daddy. Theres a gnarly chase scene where he actually gets away, but of course he just keeps on doing the robbing thing til he gets caught / shot. The dude (cop) that shot him then actually becomes the main character (cuz the other homie dead now) and it shows him (the cop) going through moral dilemmas and rising through the ranks. Thing is, the cop's angsty teenage son feels misunderstood by his dad and society (barf) so the son and his friend do some drugs and bond until you find out the son's friend is the OG main character's son, who is not down with his friend's dad killing his dad. So the stuff hits the fan and it ends with the dead guy's kid driving off into the sunset (literally) on a motorcycle. Bam.
