Ideally no. However, if this happens they must be an adult (over 18) and only outside of camp.

What do you do if a child tells you about abuse?

Duty to Report. 

- If a child asks you to keep a secret - you can't. 

- Give emotional support. 

- Complete a "Suspected Abuse Form" and call CAS. 

- Optional (Suggested but not required): Inform our president that a report has been made.

Can you add people you meet at camp on social media? 

You can add anyone over the age of 18 on social media. BE CAREFUL with younger volunteers. You also can set your own boundaries for this too - you don't need to add people if you don't want to.

Personal vehicle used for approved ministry travel.

What do you do if a child wants to go by a different pronoun? 

Use their name. Tell you director so that they can ensure we have a universal washroom, avoid gender divisions, help others be sensitive. DO NOT gossip about this and stop all gossip - this child should feel welcome at camp!

Can you help a child with toileting?

No. If it's urgent, make sure there are two leaders present, males are not to assist females (write a report about it and speak to the parents).

What do you do if a child is being bullied?

We have a zero tolerance policy for bullying.

- Isolate (remove bully/bullies) 

- Investigate

- Address Bully

- Address Victim

- Report (form, to parents but NO NAMES).
