No, they still have an addiction, but they have reached maintenance, it's a chronic condition.
How many people should be on the intervention team?
4-6 people
Should the addict know they are going to an intervention?
No the addict should be unaware.
How can the intervention team members stay connected?
Communicate with treatment center(s) and keep in touch with the person recovering.
Who could the intervention team contact for support?
Counselor, psychologist, addiction specialist
What should the intervention team NOT do during the intervention?
Don't get upset when the addict doesn't immediately or at all agree to treatment, don't accuse them of their addiction or confront them about it.
What's most important for the individual if they experience relapse?
What matters most is how the person responds, seeks support, commits to their goals, and applies what they learned from previous treatment.
Who should be included on the intervention team?
People who are important to the addict and whom they respect.
What are the treatment options that can be provided during the intervention?
Inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, counseling/therapy.
What can increase a risk of relpase?
As the indavidual is stabilized in recovery they may want to reduce their treatment or suffer from bordem and emotional flatness?
What are the responsibilities of the intervention team?
Setting date and time, being supportive, creating a structured plan, doing research, and talking about outcomes beforehand, and reaching out to a professional.
What SHOULD the intervention team do during the intervention?
Stay calm, Ask for a dession right away, reamain supportive and loving, alter treatment options if needed, follow through with consequence pre planned if the person declines treatment, share their thoughts and concers about why they should get help

Maintaining healthy boundries, staying connected, attening group therapy or help groups, staying potive and optimisitc
