Matthew is the Gospel to the Jews. He highlights the infancy narrative in the eyes of St. Joseph, gives high prominence to Peter, and has the sermon on the mount. It is possible that he could've written in Greek and Hebrew due to his being a tax collector.

Mark is a fast paced Gospel. Uses 'immediately' 40+ times. He uses Aramaic phrases (little girl arise, be opened, Father). The Gospel shows that salvation is a matter of life and death. His mother's house is the upper room where the Apostles hid and had the last supper. Some manuscripts end earlier than others. The Gospel is directed towards gentiles in Rome under persecution. What unique details does Luke carry that the other Gospels don't?

When was the Gospel of Luke written?

Luke is the Gospel of mercy. He includes more parables than the other Gospels and has very famous ones like the prodigal son. It is the only book of the NT that is part of a 2 volume work. It is the only book attributed to a gentile. His professional knowledge as a physician comes through in his writing, and his desire for accuracy is shown.

His infancy narrative is told through the eyes of the Blessed Virgin. He includes a great emphasis on the typology of Mary and the workings of the Holy Spirit.

The Gospel of Luke had to have been written pre - AD 62 because Acts ends with Paul in prison. Nothing is alluded to in Peter and Paul's death.

What unique details does John carry that the other Gospels don't?

When was the Gospel of John written?

John constantly emphasizes the hour of Jesus, the bread of life discourse, the "I Am" sayings, a passion emphasis, and a longer last supper account. His Gospel is a sacramental Gospel, shown through Jesus's actions and words. His is also a supplement to the synoptics, i.e., he fills in gaps where the synoptics don't cover.

There is also a primacy of Peter in John's Gospel as the primary shepherd on earth. John references himself as the "beloved disciple" which allows him to invite us into his place and see ourselves in the Gospel story. His Gospel is the most theological. John's Gospel has an appendix (added likely after it was written).

The dating of John could be pre 70 AD but has to be at least by 100 AD.
