Let them know that you don't know, and suggest they ask the teacher or someone else.

Put them away yourself or ask them to put them away. 

When it is time to clean we should work as a class to make sure all materials are returned where they go.

Check the insides of desks and tops of desks to make sure all materials are put away and that there is no trash.

Compliment the part that you like about the artwork. We don't say negative things about each other's work.

You are sorting through papers for your art. While searching you knock some papers on the floor. They aren't your papers. What should you do?

Pick them up. 

Papers are not to be left on the floor. It could ruin the art, or someone could slip on the paper and hurt themselves.

It is not ok for them to try to say that, but if they do then understand that everyone has their own style.

Ask to borrow one from another student.

Use a different utensil like a colored pencil or ink pen.

What is the job of the Floor Monitor?

They will check the floor for any spills or materials left on the floor, and then clean the messes or spills.

Use rags if there are clean ones available. If not then you can use a few paper towels. Start with 2 and get one more as you need it.

If you are frustrated what can you do to be able to calm down inside of the classroom?

Lots of things:

Ask to use the sound maker

Ask to use the calm space

Ask to borrow a fidget

Let the teacher know how you are feeling, and make sure to ask before grabbing something that is not yours.

It is your job to sweep at the end of the class. You forget to sweep and get into line. You see someone else sweeping instead of you, and remember it was your job. How do you react?

Leave the line and offer to take over sweeping.

Yes, it was your job originally, but you were not responsible to remember it before lining up. 

You should also thank the other person for doing a job that wasn't theirs.

Broom, hand broom, dust pans, rags, and desk spray.

What is the job of the Star Spotter?

To watch for students who have been responsible, respectful, and safe for the whole class time. They will tell the teacher which students they choose and those students can get a reward.

What happens if you use a tool incorrectly on purpose?

You will lose that tool for the day, and if it continues you will not be allowed to use that tool in future classes.

The teacher is talking, but your friend has a question for you. What should you do?

Ask your friend to wait until the teacher is done. You will have plenty of time to talk while you work. 

If you talk while the teacher is talking then you have less work time.

You don't enjoy the project that we are doing. It is difficult for you to understand or you can't get it to look the way you want it to. What should you do?

Ask for help or advice. Try something new with the project. Look at the positives of what you have accomplished.

There will be projects you may struggle with and that is ok. The main thing is to not give up! Keep trying even if it is hard. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Everyone else should either line up against the back wall or wait at their seats.
