What are DNI's? Explain what this means for customers.

Do Not Inventory. Certain items: fast lanes, visuals, mannequins, etc. are pre-counted. Once it has been DNI, it cannot be touched for any reason: SFS, BOPIS, or for a customer.

I'm only scheduled till 10pm, can I go home?

No, everyone is staying until we are 100% completed.

My scanner just stopped working, what do I do?

Couple of troubleshooting ideas:

Maddie said I can work the day shift instead of the night. Why am I scheduled 4pm-10pm?

Maddie did not say that.

The next day.

What's quantity counting?

A number can be typed into the zebra scanner for the quantity of the sku, instead of scanning it each individual time.

Why can't everyone have quantity counting enabled?

This can very easily mess up our entire count. Also, There are only certain areas of the store that the same sku needs to be re-scanned multiple times: BOH, fast lanes, etc. so, not everyone needs this feature.

An associate scanning through men's denim has a UPH of 317. What would you do?

We need to have a coaching conversation. Let them know what the expectations are, and any tips for faster scanning. Ask them if they are having problems, how can we help?

How can you enable a quantity count on a zebra scanner?

You go into the zebra and enable quantity counting for that specific device. A certain code must be typed in. This is because only certain associates are allowed to quantity count.

An area that items without tags, or any skus that don't scan are brought to.

One associate mans this area and re-tickets them all.

What is the expected UPH?

800 is a typical UPH for a regular scanner.

Some UPH's will be higher/lower depending on the area they are scanning.

Two associates are chatting and being unproductive, what would you do?

They need to be separated and told the importance of inventory. 100% focus is needed or errors occur. Show them their UPH and how they are being unproductive.

What are the contents of the boxes for inventory?

Scanners, primary and secondary routers, stickers, chargers, and flags.

What is a batch count?

When the same sku has been scanned consecutively more than 15 times. The system will think it's an error, and the associate is incorrectly scanning.

It's asking me for a piece count, what is that?

Randomly after a sticker has been scanned, the device will ask for a piece count. This is asking for how many items were scanned on that sticker. 

They have two tries, and if it is wrong the sticker is cancelled and it must be rescanned.

We had four associates call out, what do we do?

Call Jeff ASAP, see if any stores can send associates, extend current shifts.

Corrective action will occur for those associates.

Assuming we had units in the BOH, when are these items counted?

The day before inventory, Saturday 2/10.

What are sticker ranges?

Sticker ranges show what area of the store a certain range of stickers are.

Stickers 1-185 are in men's.

What's an empty sticker?

A sticker that does not have any skus associated with it.

It says my scanner is locked out, what does that mean and what do I do?

It means too many incorrect scans have been completed and the scanner has been locked. A certain code must be entered by a manager to unlock it. Coaching conversations must be had, or they may be asked to leave.

Our Wifi just went out. What do we do?

Before inventory, what do we need to do to the scanners daily?

They need to be checked for any updates, and swapped on scanners for full charges.

What is a system selected audit?

Audits drop when inventory is 10%, 30%, and 90% completed. A manager or trusted associate must enter audit mode on the device and scan the sticker to see if it matches the original scan.
